Add a Joint Owner
Some things to consider before filling out this form:
- The new joint owner will need to take a picture of their government issued photo identification such as a valid, unexpired drivers license. Please upload these pictures in the appropriate fields below.
- Do you want to add this individual to all sub accounts under your membership that can hold a joint owner or just certain accounts? If you only want to add the individual to certain sub accounts, please Contact Us.
- Would like the new joint owner to be “Joint with Right of Survivorship”? This means all funds in the account would pass to the joint owner without probate, should the primary owner pass away.
- Is the new joint owner currently subject to backup withholding? If the IRS has notified this owner that they are subject to backup withholding as a result of a failure to report all interest or dividends, please mark accordingly below.
- Vacation Fund Accounts and IRAs cannot be held jointly.
- You cannot use this form to add a co-borrower. If you would like to add an individual to your loan, please Contact Us.
- Once this form is submitted, we will send the primary owner and the new joint owner a form to eSign. The joint owner will need to provide their own email address, it cannot be the same as the primary owner.
Remove a Joint Owner
Some things to consider before filling out this form:
- The primary owner cannot be removed from a membership. A joint owner can be removed by completing the online form below.
- Co-borrowers cannot be removed from a loan using this form, if you need to remove a co-borrower from a loan please Contact Us.
- Any debit or ATM card in the name of this joint owner will no longer be valid. The card itself should be destroyed. Any checks in the joint owners name should be destroyed. Monitor your accounts closely for the next several months and contact us to report any suspicious or unauthorized activity.
